How booking links on GoHotelly actually work.

We want you to understand exactly how we work with booking platforms, why some links on our site are affiliate links, and — most importantly — why that never changes what we say about a hotel.

The short version

Yes, some links earn us a small commission.

When you click a "Check availability" or "Compare prices" button on a GoHotelly hotel page, you may be taken to a third-party booking platform such as Booking.com or Agoda. If you complete a booking there, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That commission helps us keep GoHotelly free to use, pay writers and editors, and continue building better hotel pages. It does not influence which hotels we feature, how we describe them, or how reviews are surfaced.

  • The price you pay is the same as going to the partner directly
  • Affiliate links are clearly marked on every hotel page
  • Editorial content is written independently of commission rates

How external booking links work

From a GoHotelly page to a confirmed booking.

We don't handle the transaction ourselves. We help you get to a clean comparison and then hand you off to the booking platform you choose.

1 · You read the hotel page

Everything we publish — overview, reviews, facilities, neighborhood — is produced independently of any booking partner.

2 · You click a booking link

You choose a partner (Booking.com, Agoda, or the hotel's own site). We pass you through with a tracking parameter.

3 · You book on the partner site

The booking, payment, confirmation, and cancellation are all handled by the partner — not by GoHotelly.

Our commitment to objectivity

Commission never shapes content.

Our editorial team writes hotel descriptions, surfaces review themes, and selects featured properties without consulting commission rates. The same rules apply whether a partner pays us 2% or 8%, whether a hotel has five rooms or five hundred.

If we think a hotel has a weakness — a loud street, thin walls, a dated bathroom — we say so, even when that might cost us a booking. Trust is the only reason travelers return to GoHotelly, and we take that seriously.

  • Editorial team is separated from commercial operations
  • No pay-to-feature, no sponsored reviews, no boosted ratings
  • Same content rules apply to every property on the platform

What stays separate from booking revenue

Three decisions that never touch commission data.

01which hotels we feature
02how we describe them
03which reviews we surface
Partner platforms

Who we send you to, and why.

We work with a small, carefully chosen set of booking partners — not a long tail of obscure resellers. Each one is picked for reliability, coverage, and customer support quality.

Booking.com

Best coverage for European and city hotels, strong cancellation terms, familiar checkout. Often the default option for travelers booking in multiple currencies.

Agoda

Strongest coverage in Asia-Pacific, often with member pricing on regional properties. A clear second option for travelers staying in Southeast Asia, Japan, or Korea.

Direct hotel websites

When a property has a clean direct-booking experience, we link to it too — even when it earns us nothing. Booking direct often unlocks perks.

What you should know

A few practical details.

Small things worth being transparent about so there are no surprises.

Prices are the same for you

You will not pay more by clicking through GoHotelly. Our commission comes out of the partner's margin, not your bill.

Availability and pricing live on the partner

Anything related to rooms, dates, cancellation policies, and taxes is controlled by the booking partner, not by GoHotelly.

Customer support on bookings

For anything about your reservation — changes, refunds, questions — please contact the booking platform where you completed the booking.

Editorial support on hotels

If you noticed something wrong on a hotel page — outdated info, a misleading detail — we want to hear about it directly.

Questions and contact

Still have questions about how we work?

Transparency goes both ways. If something about our affiliate model isn't clear, or you spotted a link that doesn't feel right, we want to know.
